IN REPLY-UNSWR 50th ANNIVERSARY REGIMENTAL DINNER-14 SEPTEMBER 2002 Denial of Service Attack Wednesday,
September 9, 2009 at
approximately 1:10 PM EST (US) Once the IPs being used in this attack were identified, the information was sent to Level3, XO, Sprint, and Verizon (the network carriers who provide us with connectivity) to firewall the addresses in their routers. After some fine tuning, the attack was entirely blocked by 10:15pm EST (US) and service restored to normal. This site was back online within 90 minutes . Email servers were also affected by the attack . ...... Webmaster
